This 1989 Danbury High graduate was a basketball star, 2011 inductee Sebrina Moffett. Sebrina led the Lady Hatters to two state championship final games in which Danbury was the runner up in years 1987 and 1989. Aside from the winning records of the basketball teams she played on, Sebrina received multiple individual honors while she was in high school. She was all FCIAC in both 1988 and 1989, and she was also named All-State in her senior year. In 1989 Sebrina was All-Area and MVP of the Nike "East Pearl Street" Tournament. In both 1988 and 1989 Sebrina was named to the Masuk Christmas All-Tournament team. She played on the Connecticut Junior Olympics Girls Basketball team in Miami in 1989. To top off her senior year, Sebrina was named a Parade Magazine second team All American. After her graduation from Danbury High, Sebrina continued her basketball career at North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina on a full basketball scholarship. While in college from 1989 to 1992 she was named to the All Rookie team and second team All-CIAA tournament her freshman year. Sebrina currently lives in Danbury and has a fifteen year old son. She works at Goodrich Corporation and is a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Danbury.
