Erin Kathleen Boggan

This 2009 Danbury High School graduate was a high impact two-sport athlete.
Erin Kathleen Boggan is a 2024 Danbury High School Athletic Hall of Fame inductee in
the sport of basketball. Erin was a four-year varsity letter winner in basketball. In 2008
she was an honorable mention All-Stater. In 2009, she earned All-State honors. In her
senior year, she played in the Jewish Community Center School Girl/Boy All-Star
Classic. Erin was also a 1000 point scorer.
While playing at Danbury High, both the team and Erin had great years. She
was first team All-FCIAC in 2008 and 2009, and Honorable Mention in 2007. DHS
was the Holiday Tournament Champs from 2006-2008, and Erin was the 2008 MVP.
Erin averaged 15.9 points and 11.8 rebounds as a senior, and 15.2 and 10.5 rebounds
as a junior. Erin was ranked Number 2 in Connecticut for rebounds, Number 279 in
USA for rebounds per game in 2009. In one memorable game, Erin scored 30 points
and had 16 rebounds in a 2009 FCIAC semi-final game against Ridgefield. She led the
Hatters to the state quarterfinals in 2009. As a varsity volleyball player, Erin was ranked
Number 8 in Connecticut for hitting percentage.
After her DHS graduation, Erin continued both her academic and athletic careers
at Gardner-Webb University and the University of Scranton. While at Gardner-Webb
from 2009-2011, the basketball team was Big South Champion (2011) and Erin was a
Big South Academic Scholar (2010, 2011). After her transfer to the University of
Scranton, Erin was a Second-Team Landmark Conference selection in 2013 and 2013,
averaging 10.9 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, and 1.4 rebounds per game. She also
shot 75% from the free-throw line. In 2013, the University of Scranton made it to the
NCAA Tournament.
In 2013, Erin graduated from the University of Scranton with a degree in
Counseling and Human Services. Erin earned a Masters in Human Resources
Management from the University of Scranton in 2015. Erin is a member of Alpha Sigma
Nu Jesuit Honor Society. Erin currently works for State Street Corporation as the Senior
Events Manager, Assistant Vice-President, North America. Erin is an avid fitness
enthusiast and enjoys boxing, cycling, and running.
