Congratulations to the Spring 2026 Graduates of UConn Extension’s People Empowering People (PEP) Communities and Parents Supporting Educational Excellence (PSEE)!
This spring, a dedicated group of Danbury parents committed themselves to learning, growing, and leading in their schools and community through two powerful family leadership programs.
People Empowering People (PEP) Communities helps parents discover their strengths, build leadership skills, and become advocates for positive change. Participants learn how to turn their experiences and ideas into meaningful action that benefits their families and community.
Parents Supporting Educational Excellence (PSEE) equips families with the knowledge and tools to become strong partners in their children’s education. Participants gain a deeper understanding of schools, educational systems, and effective advocacy for student success.
This year’s graduates demonstrated their commitment to creating positive change through two inspiring community projects:
Label 2 Table - A community awareness initiative focused on helping families better understand food ingredients, make informed nutrition choices, and recognize the impact of ultra-processed foods on health and wellness. Follow them on Facebook and Instagram!
Free Summer Programming for Danbury Residents - An advocacy effort designed to increase awareness of and access to free summer opportunities for children and families throughout the city.
