WERACE (Western Connecticut Regional Adult and Continuing Education) is dedicated to empowering adult learners through accessible, high-quality educational opportunities that support lifelong learning, personal growth, and career advancement.

Serving adults 17 years of age and older who reside in Bethel, Brookfield, Danbury, Easton, New Fairfield, Newtown, Redding, and Ridgefield, WERACE provides free Adult Education services through Danbury Public Schools. Our programs are designed to help individuals achieve their academic, professional, and personal goals in a welcoming and supportive learning environment.

Whether you're looking to earn your high school diploma through the Connecticut Credit Diploma Program, prepare for the GED, improve your English language skills through English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, strengthen foundational reading, writing, and math skills with Adult Basic Education (ABE), or prepare to become a United States citizen, WERACE offers experienced instructors, flexible learning opportunities, and individualized support to help you succeed.

In addition to our Adult Education programs, WERACE offers a wide variety of enrichment courses that encourage lifelong learning, personal interests, and skill development. From arts and wellness to technology, finance, and recreation, our enrichment classes provide opportunities for community members to learn something new, connect with others, and continue growing at every stage of life.

At WERACE, we believe education opens doors. We're committed to helping every learner build the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to achieve their goals and create brighter futures.
