The Seal of Biliteracy is an official seal (sticker) that is added to your diploma that shows you are literate in English and an additional language. To earn the Seal of Biliteracy, you must either earn a score of 3 or higher on an AP language exam or pass the Seal of Biliteracy test. The Seal of Biliteracy test is a test in which you to read, write, listen, and speak in a language other than English. Tests are offered in dozens of languages and you may take more than one. Most tests cost $22.50, however, tests for rarer languages will differ in pricing. DHS West Campus will be offering the Seal of Biliteracy testing during the school day of April 16th and 17th. DHS Main Campus will be offering the Seal of Biliteracy testing during the school day of April 21st and 22nd. Information on how to register for testing, including the cost of testing in various languages, will become available by February, 2026. You may email Ms. Mazzarese at mazzae@danbury.k12.ct.us with questions.
