Ben Levitt
(Wrestling, 1991)
Upon entering the DHS gymnasium one would encounter the one and only retired jersey of a Danbury High School wrestle rthat wrestlers name is Ben Levitt. Much like Jeff Vitti who graduated a year before Ben, the wrestling record books are strewn with the name of Ben Levitt. He holds the school record for most tournament wins with 17 and the fewest times pinned in a career with ZERO pins. That's right he was one of only five wrestlers who were NEVER pinned in their DHS career. Ben was state Open and LL champion in 1990 and 1991, an All American in 1991 and he was a four time FCIAC champion. As a team the Hatters were FCIAC champions for all four of his years in school, they were LL champions in 1990 and 1991 and New England champions in 1990 After high school Ben attended Brown University and is a 1995 graduate of Brown.
