Pia graduated from DHS in 1993. She was a member of three varsity sports - Soccer, Basketball and Tennis. A four year starter in soccer, she was voted to the All- Area and All-FCIAC teams for 3 years. She was voted to the All-State Soccer team for two years. Following the soccer season she was a McDonalds Scholar Athlete in basketball. She was chosen for the Coaches Association All-Star basketball game following her senior year when she was captain. In tennis she was part of the #1 doubles team for two years. Following high school she attended Lafayette where she played soccer and was the 2nd leading scorer in 1993. She continued her collegiate soccer career at Clemson for two years. Following college she coached an Under 12 and Under 14 girls soccer team in South Carolina to the state championship in 1996 and 1997.
