Dick Baldwin
(Skeet Shooting)
Often
overlooked in the annals of Danbury High athletes is the story of the
man who went on to win more honors than any other graduate of the
school. For many years, Richard “Dick” Baldwin was the nation’s most
prominent name in skeet shooting, winning his first major award at the
age of 12. His artistry was so great, Dick was enshrined in the Eastern
United States Trapshooting Hall of Fame. His career spanned 58 years and
more than 200,000 shots, and as a respected author.
