This 2017 Danbury High School Hall of Fame inductee was a stand-out athlete in three sports.  Jennifer Tierney Cohn, a 2005 graduate was an impact player in both soccer and basketball but it was in golf that she excelled and earned a four year scholarship to Division I Sacred Heart University.

While at Danbury High School, Jen was a four-year basketball player.  Her junior and senior year she was a varsity starter at guard and small forward.  While she was a basketball starter, the team made both the FCIAC and the state tournaments.  A four-year participant in soccer, she started on defense on a team that was an FCIAC finalist and state tournament semi-finalist.  As a member of the golf team, the team was both FCIAC and state champions.  Jen was personally All-FCIAC, All-State, All-Area, and All-New England.  For her four years at Danbury High she was the #1 golfer.

Jen was a captain for soccer, basketball and golf and was Danbury High's 2005 female scholar-athlete at the Connecticut state banquet.  She was also a finalist for Wendy's High School Heisman Award.  A very versatile student-athlete, Jennifer also played flute for the Danbury High School Symphonic Band, was in Peer Leadership, DECA, the National Honor Society and was Secretary of Board of Governors. 

After her graduation from Danbury High School, Jennifer continued her educational and golf career at Sacred Heart University.  While at SHU, Jennifer won the university's first women's individual golf title and was the number one player on her team for all four years.  Jen also won the Southern New England Women's Golf Championship in 2008 and 2009.  In her professional career at Octagon Sports Marketing and Eiger Sports Marketing, she has helped manage flagship golf events including the BMW Championship (PGA) and the Shoprite LPGA Classic.
