This three sport athlete played varsity volleyball, basketball and softball for four years, 2018 Danbury High School Hall of Fame inductee Tracy Guerrera.  While at Danbury High School, Tracy was also a senior captain for all three sports and earned FCIAC honors in all three sports.

As a senior, Tracy was an FCIAC Scholar-Athlete in softball.  She was also on the News-Times 2003 All-Area girls basketball team, First Team.  During her senior basketball season, Tracy averaged 10.5 points per game, 8.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.2 steals for the 18-5 Hatters who were Western Division FCIAC Champs in 2003.

After her graduation from Danbury High, Tracy continued her athletic and academic career at Central Connecticut State University, playing on their Division I softball program.  While at Central, Tracy was known as a solid defender.  As a freshman, Tracy appeared in seventeen games, and had a .990 fielding percentage. As a sophomore, she played in twenty-one games and had a .969 fielding percentage. Tracy started 27 games her junior year, and was senior captain her final year playing for the Blue Devils.

After receiving her BS degree in elementary education from CCSU, Tracy returned to Danbury where she continues to live and work.  She is passionate about educating the next generation and has been teaching fifth grade at Morris Street School since 2011.  This fall she is swapping calculators for coloring books as she embarks on a new challenge teaching kindergarten.  In addition to her responsibilities in the classroom at Morris Street School, Tracy is actively involved with the board of the PTO and volunteering for other philanthropic causes.  In her free time, she plays first base and bats clean-up in the Bethel Women’s Softball League.  Still making the tough catch at first base.
