Ken Smith
(Sports Writing)
One of the smallest men involved in Danbury High Sports became one of the biggest men in baseball. After playing a little basketball, but spending much of his time managing teams and writing about them, KEN SMITH became one of the most highly regarded sports writers in the country. He hobnobbed with the likes of Babe Ruth, Jack Dempsey, and a hall of famer who became his closet friend, Bill Terry. His work and reputation in the world of sports led to his selection as Director of the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York.
