Robert Wildman

This two-sport athlete scored the winning touchdown in the epic 1957 Thanksgiving game versus Norwalk High School. During his senior year, Robert was also co-captain of the football team. While at Danbury High School, Robert played offensive tackle, defensive linebacker, and was both the placekicker and the punter. During his 1957 senior season, the team went 8-1, their only loss was to Greenwich, 7-6. Robert was named All-State his senior season and played in the senior All-Star game. Aside from his football accomplishments, Robert was a member of the Danbury High School Track team, winning state championships in 1955 and 1957. Roberts's track events included the shot put, discus, javelin, high and broad jump, and hurdles. He was a two time state champion in the discus. Robert was honored with the 1957 Kiwanis Award. After his graduation from Danbury High, Robert spent time at both Springfield College and Northern Ohio University. From 1960-1963, Robert served in the Air Force. He worked at Qualatron Corporation, Phototronic Labs, and then Design Circuits until he retired to Vermont.
